Tear the Roof of the Sucka

As a tradition we like to give our parents the most romantic gifts for their anniversaries. This year was number 30th and therefore required something a bit more special than we would have normally given. So what did they get????? You may have guessed it by now, but a new roof. Now if you are looking for fun gift suggestions, this is not one for the list. However, when done in the right company, just about anything can be fun.

Dad and Casey working it out the first day. Because we are such professionals we got to do two days worth of roofing. The fist day there were not enough people in attendance to get the job done, so some of us had to do it twice and some of us only did it once, and some of us never helped.

Our friend Tommy hooked us up with the equipment, the know how and some help. Without him it would have been an even messier job.

Usually the MVP of all of our "projects" is our Dad who basically is the Best and that is just that, but Emily came up from behind to steal the title from him on this project. Knowing that extra help was needed our dear, sweet, loving, sarcastic, peacemaking, pregnant sister-in-law, got up and roofed with the boys the first day. Emily.... we tip our hats to you!

Mom and Dad Happy Anniversary, may this gift help to keep you happy, healthy, and dry for another 30 years. And dad because I know you will read this and are wondering how much it costs, don't worry we all just extended our student loans. Loves ya!

My phone won't send texts again. No to your question but you sure didn't need to make it seem like I was a help. You'll give people false representations.

That is a romantic present. My parents have their 30 year anniversary next year but unfortunately they won't be needing a new roof. I guess I'll have to come up with something else.
