I've traveled the roads between Topeka and Emporia numerous times. Though my drives can be very exciting sometimes they are rather lame and seem to go on forever. However one evening I was driving back and encounter this sunset. I was again in awe of how beautiful the great state of Kansas is and how everyone who can't experience these sunsets are missing out. I once heard my wise, elder brother say that its the best kept secret and he would like to keep it that way. I stopped along the dam at Melvern lake and took a couple shots and would like to share them with you.
