Thursday night I get a call from work. Come to find out a tool that we're holding for another county got upset because he wanted to shower and it wasn't shower time. So he pulled this little stunt...
Inmate creates fracas at jail
Officers called in to assist
Lyon County Sheriff’s officers literally talked an inmate down from the ceiling Thursday evening at the Lyon County Jail.
Undersheriff Richard Old said that officers were called to the jail about 6:30 p.m. for a disturbance in progress.
“Upon their arrival, they found that an inmate had climbed up into the suspended ceiling above the D Pod day room,” Old said. “Even though the inmate had gotten above the suspended ceiling, the construction of the jail is such that the inmate was still inside the secure confines of the structure, within either steel or masonry structural elements.”
Officers eventually managed to talk the inmate into coming down and he was handcuffed.
Old said the man continued to be verbally abusive to the officers and threatened to do bodily harm to them. Prior to his being returned to a cell, he spat on some of the officers.
The incident lasted about 45 minutes until he was locked back down in a cell. No one was seriously injured and only minor damage was done to the suspended ceiling, Old said.
The case is under investigation and will be forwarded to the Lyon County Attorney’s office for review when the investigation is complete.
Well needless to say, all the action was over by the time I got there. I just went in to cover while all the other suckas wrote their reports. So a couple hours just hanging out shooting the breeze with everyone results in more money to blow this summer.

Classic. The funny thing is that the dumb-bum will now be more of a permanent resident. And will folks forget that stunt? Nope. Will folks forget to tell him about shower time? Likely. HAHAHA, I wish, that would be hilarious.
